founder
I’m Inês Silva, I’m 24 and I’m the main coach.
I started surfing when I was 7, encouraged by my father, and I started competing at 12.
I’ve had several good moments in competition, such as regional champion and Portugal Cup winner (clubs), 3rd place in the Under-18 National Championship and 8th place in the National Open at 17.
As a surfer, I’ve always evolved with the help of the skate and I'm currently working to share my skating knowledge with my students.
Academically, I’ve graduated at FMH with a degree in Sports Sciences and I’m the first Portuguese female skate coach.
Noah Surf & Skate was born from my passion as a young surfer and competitor (I’ve always lived and worked around sports) and the love and dedication towards Noah, the dog I’ve rescued at Carcavelos beach.
Why have I decided to open my school?
I’ve always wanted to have my own school and share my knowledge with my students.
I’ve decided to spend 2 years gaining experience in other schools, as well as trying to understand what works well and what needs to be improved.
This way, when I opened my school, I’d know I’d be giving the best to my students, the result from my previous experience in diverse schools.
WHY ARE WE DIFFERENT?
Noah Surf & Skate is the best school to learn your sport!
Want to know why?
- Professionals certified by The Portuguese Surf Federation;
- First female, at a national level, to do the 1st skate coach course;
- Certified professional to provide physical training which improves your performance.
Being the school’s founder and having these 3 advantages, my school definitely gains a huge relevance.
Moreover, being a woman, I can more easily understand female surfers and skaters’ emotional and physical changes.
Beyond this, we are the only known charitable school.
